The troop’s second project was the creation of a DVD in which the Girl Scouts reenacted the story “Ghosts of Allendale” written by borough author Jim Wright. The story is based on the life and times of Revolutionary War Hero John Fell, who resided at the home located at 475 Franklin Turnpike. The property, known as the John Fell House, has been purchased by a grassroots group known as the Concerned Citizens of Allendale. Wright’s story also refers to the Celery Farm Natural Area, which is located across the street from the Fell House. The girls presented the DVD to CCA to be used for educational purposes. The “Ghosts of Allendale” reenactment has been placed in the local history room of the Fell House. Allendale Troop 4126 is headed by Girl Scout Leader/Advisor Carol Tatosian.
