To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have a minimum 3.6 grade point average. Summer meeting schedule announced The Ho-Ho-Kus Borough Council has cancelled its regularly scheduled work session for August. The council will meet on Aug. 23. Sessions are held at borough hall, 333 Warren Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus, and begin at 8 p.m. Scout painting house numbers on curbs Ryan De Marco of Boy Scout Troop 54 in Ho-Ho-Kus has planned his Eagle Scout service project for this summer. He will be painting house numbers on the curbs in front of borough homes in order to make the homes easier to locate, particularly in an emergency situation. Scouts working toward the rank of Eagle are required to plan and execute a service project that benefits the community. Residents who are interested in having their house number painted on their curb may e-mail hhkcurbs@gmail. com. Residents are urged to respond as soon as possible. De Marco plans to work on this project over the summer. Register for summer reading program Registration for the summer reading program, “One World, Many Stories” is now under way at the WorthPinkham Memorial Library. The program is open to children ages two and older. Parents are encouraged to sign up their children for the annual program. The library is located at 91 Warren Avenue. Call (201) 445-8078 for more information. Residents may join Graydon Pool The Village of Ridgewood has again invited residents of Ho-Ho-Kus to join Graydon Pool for the 2011 season. The pool, located at Linwood and Maple avenues in Ridgewood, will be open through Labor Day, Sept. 5. The facility offers the Water’s Edge Café, a picnic area with grills and tables, and a covered pavilion. Amenities also include a children’s playground, sun shades, water features, Adirondack chairs, basketball courts, volleyball nets, bocce courts, ping pong, and shuffleboard courts. Events feature children’s story time and American Red Cross swim instruction. Note: Swimmers who wish to use the deep water area must pass the Graydon Pool Deep Water Test. The badge office will be open daily from noon to 7 p.m. Memberships for non-Ridgewood residents are $160 for adults and $140 for children ages two through 15. Redesigned website unveiled The Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library in Ho-Ho-Kus has unveiled its newly redesigned website. On the site are links to the New York Times Best-Sellers List, BCCLS, the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus website, the Ho-Ho-Kus Public School, and reference resources. There is also information on BeAT, managing borrowing from home with a valid library card, children’s programs, and new books that the library has recently acquired. He was operated on the following day. “It’s very slow healing, and very painful,” said Litchult, who expects his leg to be in a cast from eight to 12 weeks. He said he did not know yet when he could resume his regular duties. “He’s a strong guy. He will recuperate as fast as anybody. He’s already getting around,” said Councilwoman Anita Bozzo, sitting in for the mayor during last week’s council meeting. Accident
