The sunflowers with a sunny face were erected by chamber member Favourtique as an interim motif until fresh flowers and plants could be planted in the planters in the mini-park. Favourtique previously decorated the area in February to brighten the dull winter landscape. “Rick from Home Hardware stepped up to the plate and welcomed the display,” Figliuolo said. “Many people had noticed it and loved it and took pictures in front of it, and we didn’t just want to discard it. Bob and Denise Lion of Favourtique put it up at their expense,” Figliuolo added. The chamber president said she is now trying to set up a meeting with town officials to discuss the parameters for a display at the clock area. “We want to be all on the same page. We have offers from other businesses to decorate the area, so we want to know what we can and cannot do,” she said. 5K RUN Sunflower decorations now at Home Hardware The Fourth Waldwick Multi-Year Reunion will be held on Oct. 1 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Doubletree/Hilton Hotel on Route 17 South in Mahwah. Graduates of the Classes of 1966 through 1976 are invited. The cost is $75 for those who Waldwick High classes plan reunion reserve tickets by June 1.
