She had worked as a receptionist at the Ridgewood Racquet Club and was a volunteer at Valley Hospital for many years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood. She is survived by her children Suzanne Alstrom, Donna Lotzkar, Jacquelyn Pardey, and Edward Alstrom, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ludwig T. “Eddie” Alstrom, two infant sons, and her brothers Harry, Edwin, Raymond, and Howard Bissinger. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Patricia Ann “Patti” Gardner, nee Crocco, of Ridgewood, formerly of Nutley, died May 12. She was 45. She had been a sales representative in the electronics industry in New Jersey. She is survived by her husband Glenn Gardner, sons Eddie and John, step-children Caroline and David, her mother Patricia Crocco, step-father Joe Greco, and brothers Timothy, John, Christopher, Thomas, and Michael. Muriel Henckler of Ridgewood died May 7. She was 91. She was an artist and poet. She was a member of the Old Paramus Church in Ridgewood and its music program. She taught the illiterate and worked for the underprivileged. She is survived by her children Christine Henckler and Henry Henckler III, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Henckler Jr. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Margaret F. “Marge” Kennelly, nee Meyer, of Mahwah, formerly of Ridgewood, died May 8. She was 80. She was the owner of a beauty parlor in Englewood at age 17. At 21, she owned and operated the Turnpike Tavern in Allendale. She formed MKA Associates, which specialized in home liquidations, appraisals, auctions, antiques, and other services. In 1970, she became a Realtor and opened Marge Kennelly Real Estate in Ridgewood. She then branched out with Coast to Coast Real Estate, and opened a San Diego office. She was a member of The Brazen Guild, which is part of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration, the Northwest Bergen Board of Realtors, a colonel with New Jersey State Society of Auctioneers, a notary public, and a Friend of Bill W. for 24 years. She is survived by her children Patricia Kennelly Denker of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Joseph of Ramsey, Michael of Mahwah, Eleanor R. Alstrom Thomas of Pompton Plains, and Margaret Pearson of HoHo-Kus, 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph G., and her brother Karl Meyer. He was 83. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Schneider, his children Scott, Wayne and Glenn, four grandchildren, and his brothers Harry and Stan. Arrangements were made by C.C. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was employed as an engineer for Coca Cola Bottling of New York. Previously, he was a foreman with Plumber’s Union Local 24 in Newark. He was a parishioner of Saint Catharine’s RC Church in Glen Rock, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and as a member of the Building and Grounds Committee. He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Millard), his children Andrew Gerald McBride, James Patrick McBride, Blaise Matthew McBride of Glen Rock, Mary Pat Smith, Terence Gerard McBride, Brendan Cormac McBride of Midland Park, and his siblings Kay Casserino of Scotch Plains, and Jack McBride of New York, New York, and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Timothy Michael McBride, and his siblings Nancy Hohler, Alice McCarthy, Robert McBride, and William McBride. She was a homemaker and seamstress and worked in retail for many years. She is the last Gold Star Mother in Mahwah, having lost her son in Vietnam. She is survived by her daughter Ruth Ann of Mahwah, her four grandchildren, and three great-grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob, and her son Everett J. Meester. He was 75. Before retiring, he was the superintendent of the Mahwah Water and Sewer Department. He is survived by his sons Edward, Randy, Timothy, James, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his brothers Kenneth and Herbert. He was predeceased by his wife June. Susan Low Sauer of Wyckoff died May 5. She was 75. She was a 1957 graduate of Brown University. Before she married, she taught first grade in Fair Lawn. After the death of her husband, she took over his business, A.H. Sauer & Associates. She was a member of Barnert Temple in Franklin Lakes. She is survived by her children Richard, Elizabeth Sauer, Stephanie Sauer Pasternak, and Jennifer Low Sauer, five grandchildren, and her siblings Brenda Mann, and Theodore Low. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin H. Sauer. Arrangements were made by Louis Suburban Chapel in Fair Lawn. Clazina Vander Valk of Wyckoff, formerly of Lincoln Park, died May 10. She was 76. A graduate of William Paterson College, she was employed as a teacher for 35 years, 24 of them at the Netherlands Reformed Christian School in Pompton Plains. She was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Church Teachers’ Association, and a member of the Netherlands Reformed Church and its Dorcas Circle. She is survived by her brothers Roland of Sarasota, Florida, and Peter of Odgensburg, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Henry Vander Valk. Walsh of Ridgewood died May 9. He was 53. He was a delivery driver with United Parcel Service in Saddle Brook for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Mary Walsh, his children Kaitlin, Megan, Brendan, Liam, and Fiona, and his siblings Elizabeth O’Connor, Larry Bogner, and Denise Walsh. Before retiring, she was a teacher with the Bergen County Division of Family Guidance in Hackensack. She was a past president of the Zonta Club, North Jersey Chapter. She was a volunteer with the Barnegat First Aid Squad Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband Richard L. Watson, her children Jason R. Watson and Heather K.
