Birder speaks out
At a monthly meeting of the Activities Club, Kurt Meunz made a presentation on rare and unique birds found in Bergen County. Meunz, a long-term resident of Glen Rock, an avid birder, and member of Fyke Nature Association, identified birds found at the Celery Farm in Allendale, the Ridgewood Duck Pond, the county park in Glen Rock and Fair Lawn, and birds in other local areas. Of specific note are the migrating birds that are found resting at the George Washington School in Ridgewood during early September. Pictured is Kurt Meunz (right) receiving his certificate of appreciation from Frank Gasper, program chairman and vice president of the club.
