Stanley R. Bajek of Waldwick died March 12. He was 89. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was employed as a manufacturing engineer for Mosler Systems Division in Wayne. He is survived by his sister Jean and six nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Robert, his brother Joseph, and his sister Stella. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Jessie Benjamin of Waldwick died March 23. She was 88. Together with her husband Jack, they owned Jack’s Market in Waldwick for 30 years. She is survived by her daughter Judi Leonard of Hillsdale, her grandchildren Janine and Bill Cox of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Dan and Kim Benjamin of Mesa, Arizona, Kate Leonard and Dustin Kirschner of Hillsdale, and Megan Leonard and Eugene Khodorkovsky of Park Ridge; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, her son John Benjamin III, her brother Albert, and her sister Hester. Arrangements were made by the Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park. She had worked at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale. She is survived by her daughter Linda Stark, two grandchildren, and her sisters Jean Addamo and Catherine Rodriguez. She was predeceased by her husband Achille DeBonis, and her daughter Roseanne Poole. Arrangements were made by Becker Funeral Home in Westwood. Osvaldo Antionia Duran Vasquez of Ridgewood died March 20. He was 66. Arrangements were made by Funeraria Alvarez in Passaic. Evelyn B. Haller, nee Blake, of Glen Rock died March 24. She was 92. Before retiring in 2000, she was director of information and public relations of Bergen County. She was a former reporter and columnist with the Ridgewood News. She is survived by her son Dennis Haller and her brother Daniel Carsten. She was predeceased by her husband John Haller. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Colonial Home in Fair Lawn. graduate of Edgewater Junior College. She initially worked at Lord and Taylor in New York City, then in the insurance business in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She volunteered and served on the board of The Depot in Midland Park. She is survived by her husband Joe Hilbish, her children Jay Hilbish and Jane Camerota, both of North Carolina, Jenifer Boyer of Upper Saddle River, and Joan Hilbish of Naples, Florida, and eight grandchildren. Daniel M. Kenlon of Viera, Florida, formerly of Upper Saddle River and Clifton, died March 4. He is survived by his children, Susan Kenlon Wells, Nancy M. Kenlon, Denise K. French, John G. Kenlon, and Meredith D. Kenlon, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia M. Kenlon and his infant son Daniel M. Kenlon Jr. A memorial service will be held at a later date. William L. Kessler of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Ridgewood, died Feb. 3. He was 81. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, and had a long career in the textile industry. He is survived by his wife Penny, his children Wendy Darcy, Laura Nagy, Bill Jr., eight grandchildren, and his brother George. He was predeceased by his brother Herman, and his daughter Amy Neuenhaus. Arrangements were made by Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is survived by her husband Philip, her children Lauren, Kimberly, Alison, grandmother to Juliana. Gerda M. Raleigh, nee Helmke, of Mahwah, formerly of Waldwick, died March 18. She was 88. She is survived by her daughter Barbara-Ann O’Brien of Mahwah, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John Raleigh. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Paul Alfred Schneider of Glen Rock died March 17. He was 92. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. His career with the Borough of Glen Rock Board of Education spanned 36 years. He served as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent before his retirement in 1982. He was a past commander and 55-year member of American Legion Post 145 of Glen Rock. He was a member of the Bergen County Teacher’s Association and a former member of the New Jersey Council of Education. He was a parishioner of Saint

A memorial service for Theodore Z. Haviland of Ridgewood, who died Jan. 31, will be held at the Old Paramus Reformed Church, 660 East Glen Avenue in Ridgewood on April 9 at 11 a.m. Haviland was a graduate of the Ridgewood High School’s Class of 1939. He started Photography by Haviland in Ho-Ho-Kus. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock, and a member of the Hobbyists Club of Ridgewood. He is survived by his wife Alice (McGuirk) Schneider, his children Paul A. Schneider Jr., Kathleen Hodgson, and Ann Marancik, five grandchildren, and his sister Gladys Quant. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc. in Fair Lawn. Margaret Tobias, nee Hoffman, of Midland Park, formerly of Glen Rock, died March 18. She was 99. She was a homemaker, and worked for a time at Clairol in Fair Lawn. She had been a parishioner at Saint Catharine’s R.C. Church in Glen Rock, and had recently been attending the Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. She is survived by her children Rosemary Rehbein of Midland Park, three grandchildren, and her sister Ida Fischer of Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Karl Tobias, and nine brothers and sisters. Arrangements were made by BrowningForshay Funeral Home in Hawthorne. Florelle Van Blarcom of Land O’Lakes, Florida, formerly of Glen Rock, died March 18. She was 85. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Elizabeth Wilding, nee Conklin, of Ramsey died March 22. She was 95. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, where she was head of the primary department, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Ridgewood Historical Society and other historical organizations. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Leslie J. Wilding and wife Jane, Elizabeth W. Schell and husband Mick, and Terry and late husband William O. Wilding, five great-nieces and nephews, and five great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie D. Wilding.
