Chamber members from Wyckoff, Allendale, Ho-Ho-Kus, Waldwick, and Midland Park are invited to attend. The event was postponed from Jan. 26. G. Mitchell Hartman will be the guest speaker. Ladies Night Out set The Home School Association of Academy of Our Lady School will host Ladies Night Out on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Center, One Passaic Street in Ridgewood. The evening will include a buffet dinner (Lent-appropriate) dessert, prize baskets, and an auction. Attendees are welcome to bring a beverage. Tickets are $40. Ladies Breakfast set The Friends of the Holland Christian Home Foundation will host the annual Ladies Spring Breakfast and Fundraiser on Saturday, April 16 at 9 a.m. at the Brownstone, 351 West Broadway in Paterson. Diane Averill, East Coast ministry developer for Home Missions of the Christian Reformed Church in North America will be the guest speaker. The event will also feature a wide variety of prizes, including many handmade treasures. Tickets are $35 per person. All proceeds will support the home’s new resident nurses’ communication system. Blue Moon hosts community fundraiser On Monday, March 28, two Blue Moon Mexican cafés, one in Wyckoff’s Boulder Run Shopping Center and the other in Woodcliff Lake on Kinderkamack Road, will sponsor Community Night fundraisers benefiting Ridgewood’s historic Old Paramus Reformed Church. Blue Moon will donate 20 percent of all lunch, dinner, take out, delivery, or gift-card purchases to the church. If dining there that day doesn’t fit your plans, supporters may stop by on March 28 to pick up a gift card, and have a meal on a day of choice. Worship music workshop available Alex Mejias of High Street Hymns will lead a worship music workshop and share the music of High Street Hymns for area churches on Friday, April 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Powerhouse Christian Church, 500 West Main Street in Wyckoff. High Street Hymns is a worship music project dedicated to bringing fresh contemporary arrangements to historical hymns of the church. Mejias has authored over 50 original hymn tunes and songs. Many of them can be heard at highstreethymns.com. In addition to live music, Mejias will lead a workshop on songwriting and hymn arranging, music ministry vision, history and theology of worship, and inter-generational worship. Admission is free.
