Vivienne Vander Snow Alma McCullum Arthur G. Statuto Douglas Wiley John C. Murphy Water meter plan (continued from page 3) no surprise to Ridgewood Water Company Director Frank Moritz, who had appeared at two previous work session meetings to make his case. Moritz had said that a substantial number of customers were receiving estimated bills, and that demographics made it increasingly difficult for water company employees to gain access to houses to physically read the meters. Weigand suggested that a gradual program of adding the radio-read meters, perhaps using college students over the summer vacations as installers or as meter readers, could solve the problem over four or five years without adding another large one-time expense to Ridgewood’s bond indebtedness. Mayor Killion thanked Weigand for agreeing with the kind of thinking the council had discussed at two previous work sessions. Jack E. Ranck Virginia T.
