A wide variety of activities, services, and a hot lunch program are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ‘Summer Nights at the Gazebo’ returns The Holland Christian Home’s Summer Nights at the Gazebo, a series of free, monthly outdoor concerts will offer music lovers of all ages three concerts this summer. On June 21, The Men of Faith will perform inspirational vocal harmonies, Justa Bunch of Banjos will entertain on July 19 with their unique sound of ensemble banjos, and The Brass Works Quintet will present old and new favorites on Aug. 23. The free concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the gazebo on the Holland Christian Home campus at 151 Graham Avenue in North Haledon. In the event of rain, the concerts will be held inside the chapel. Church to host congressman Congressman Scott Garrett will be the inaugural guest for Powerhouse Christian Church’s new series, “Sermons that Shaped America,” on Sunday, June 26 at 10 a.m. Rep. Garrett was invited to participate in an interview style exchange as part of the morning worship service. The series aims to look back in history to understand how Christianity helped shape the founders of the United States and its early public documents. The program will explore the Garrett’s personal faith and its impact on his public decision making. An informal question and answer session will be held after the service in the church café. Auditions for ‘For All My Sons’ set The Players’ Guild of Leonia will hold auditions for its upcoming production of Arthur Miller’s “For All My Sons” on June 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Civil War Drill Hall Theatre, 130 Grand Avenue in Leonia. Correction The fee for The West Bergen Center for Children and Youth, Asperger’s Related Services Department workshop on transitioning to college is $250, not $300 as previously reported. Free cancer testing available Hackensack University Medical Center will offer free prostate cancer awareness testing for men in various locations throughout Northern New Jersey. Tests will be provided through June 25. The screening involves a simple prostate specific antigen blood test. PSA is a protein in the blood that comes (continued on page 28)

Seniors offered cardio-sculpt exercise class The Northwest Bergen Regional Senior Center is offering a new exercise class, Cardio Sculpt with Robin Abrett, on Fridays at 12:30 a.m. beginning July 8. The one-hour class will provide a more challenging workout than previously offered at the center. The class will include cardiac aerobic movements to music for 30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of toning using light weights and exercise bands. Attendees should wear proper footwear and should bring a water bottle and a towel. Participants are encouraged to check with their doctor to see if they may participate in this
