Ridgewood June 15, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 5 Jamison Seaman, a Ridgewood High School junior and a member of Ridgewood Boy Scout Troop 5, built two manger-style raised vegetable beds for his Eagle Scout project. The Mission Committee from First Presbyterian Church wanted to plant a garden at church to grow fresh salad vegetables for distribution through the Ridgewood Social Services Food Pantry. The Food Pantry seeks to alleviate hunger by serving individuals and families with proof of residency and financial need in six area towns: Ridgewood, Wyckoff, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Waldwick, and Glen Rock. The Food Pantry desires locally grown vegetables over grocery store donations due to the longer shelf life of the garden produce.
