Metabolic, weight loss surgery support offered The Valley Hospital’s Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery is currently offering three bariatric surgery support groups. The Sleeve Gastrectomy Support Group meets the first Monday of every month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the center, located at 579 Franklin Turnpike in Ridgewood. The Gastric Bypass Support Group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 6 to 7 p.m., and the Gastric Band Support Group meets the third Thursday every month from 6 to 7 p.m. These two support groups meet at Valley’s Kraft Center at 15 Essex Road in Paramus. The groups are for those who are thinking about weight loss surgery, or those who have already undergone surgery. During the first half-hour of each meeting, participants talk about any clinical issues they are facing. MSO ® Inc., an insurance rating/service bureau located in Glen Rock, recently held its 18th Annual MSO Golf Outing at the Center Valley Golf Club in Center Valley, PA. MSO offered attendees and companies the opportunity to sponsor a hole, with proceeds going to Emmanuel Cancer Foundation. For over 17 years, MSO has held a bi-weekly food collection for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation’s food pantry. ECF provides much-needed support to New Jersey families of children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to the generous donors, MSO was able to collect $4,000 for ECF.
