For more information about this event, contact coordinator Barbara Collins at (201) 790-3857. ‘Lunch and Learn’ offered The Non-Profit Training and Resource Center of the Volunteer Center of Bergen County will present a volunteer managers’ “Lunch and Learn” roundtable on Thursday, July 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center’s offices at 64 Passaic Street in Hackensack. All professionals who work with or manage volunteers in non-profit, corporate, community, governmental, or faith-based settings are invited to attend this seminar. The roundtable is part of a series of monthly meetings. Each roundtable provides an opportunity for professional growth and interaction with colleagues and a forum for sharing ideas and best practices in the field. Attendees receive updates on new programs and services that the Volunteer Center has available. Roundtables are free, but all attendees must be preregistered. Caregiver support group welcomes new members Christian Health Care Adult Day Services at Christian Health Care Center, 301 Sicomac Avenue in Wyckoff, will hold a Caregiver Support Group from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2. The meeting is open to the public and no reservations are necessary. The meeting will be held in the Building 1 all-purpose room. Facilitated by Kerri Sherer, LSW, the group provides support to people caring for loved ones with dementia and other age-related medical issues. Information about area social services will be available, and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. The Caregiver Support Group is held the first Tuesday of every month. Atlantic City trip for seniors planned The Northwest Bergen Regional Senior Center in Midland Park will host a trip to Caesar’s Casino on Wednesday, Aug. 31. The trip is offered to adults age 60 and over. The bus will depart from the Midland Park Municipal Parking Lot on Highland Avenue at 8 a.m. and will return at about 7 p.m. The $25 per person charge includes the bus, the driver’s tip, and $25 in slot play. All participants must have a valid photo ID to receive the casino bonus.
