January 26, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 3 Ridgewood A 29-year-old Ridgewood man has been arrested on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit under the direction of Chief Steven Cucciniello, and the Ridgewood Police Department under the direction of Chief John Ward. On Jan. 16, members of the Ridgewood Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit arrested the village resident Village resident faces sexual assault charges after learning that he engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a four-year-old female acquaintance. The alleged sexual assault was reported to the Ridgewood Police Department who contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit. Bail was set by Judge Robert Polifroni, J.S.C. at $100,000, no 10 percent option, and no contact with the victim. The man was then remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail. Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli states that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He thanked the Ridgewood Registration opens Monday, Jan. 31 at 8:30 a.m. for the upcoming eight-week session at the Ridgewood YMCA. Program highlights for the upcoming session include swim lessons, including private instruction, for students of all ages, strength training classes, ballroom dancing for adult couples and singles, yoga, Pilates, kettlebell workouts, karate, and a fitness workout package with over 30 classes per week.
