Rizzotti, a Waldwick resident, specializes in landscapes. This exhibit will include his paintings of Italy, Greece, Bavaria, and the United States. Rotary Club seeks RYLA participants The Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club is seeking local high school juniors to participate in the club’s RYLA program this summer. RYLA, or Rotary Youth Leadership Award, is sponsored by local Rotary Clubs for students who will be entering their senior year of high school in September. RYLA participants will attend an all-expense paid, six-day workshop focusing on leadership and professional development topics. They will join other talented young people selected by other Rotary Clubs throughout northern New Jersey. This year’s program will be held at Indian Head Camp, Honesdale, PA (www.indianhead.com) from May 22 through 27. The RYLA program demonstrates Rotary’s respect and concern for youth, and publicly recognizes and nurtures the high qualities of the many young people who are rendering service to their communities. The program also stimulates and cultivates leadership potential in youth, and provides a meaningful leadership training experience through such programs as sports, group discussion, guest speakers, and career guidance. The Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club has been supporting educational and charitable needs in Allendale, Mahwah, Ramsey, Saddle River, and Upper Saddle River since 1952. The Club provides college scholarships for local students and funding for local causes such as the Center for Food Action. Members also run the children’s rides at Ramsey Day and Mahwah Day, with proceeds going toward the club’s charitable activities. As part of Rotary International, the club also raises funds to support educational, medical and sanitary facilities in Nicaragua and Haiti. The Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club meets on Mondays at 12:15 p.m. at Houlihan’s in Ramsey. Fish and Chips Dinner announced The Midland Park Knights of Columbus will host its annual Fish and Chips Dinner on Friday, March 11 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Kennedy Hall at the Church of the Nativ- ity in Midland Park. Dinner will be provided by Argyle’s. Tickets are $13 per person; macaroni and cheese will be available for children for $3 a child. Dinners are also available for take out. Evening of Celtic spirituality offered Our Lady of Mount Carmel Ridgewood and G.I.F.T. (Growing in Faith and Theology), a collaboration of Adult Faith Formation ministries from 10 area Catholic churches will sponsor “The Great Encircling: The Vision of Celtic Spirituality” March 3 at 7:30 p.m. Sister Kathleen Deignan, CND, PH.D will present the evening of word, music, and song in the parish center at Mount Carmel, 1 Passaic Street in Ridgewood. Sister Kathleen is professor of religious studies and founder and director of Iona Spirituality Institute at Iona College. Her CDs and books will be available for purchase.
