The non-union ordinance also covers stipends for the mayor and the six members of the Glen Rock Borough Council. The range for the mayor is $1,000 minimum to $4,100 maximum, and the range for each council members is $1,000 to $3,000. The police salary ordinance provides a minimum salary of $31,184 and a maximum salary of $109,183 for a patrolman, and maximum salaries of $116,820 for a detective, $117,983 for a sergeant, $118,501 for a detective supervisor sergeant, $123,804 for a lieutenant, and $124,312 for a detective supervisor lieutenant. The civilian salaries and police senior salaries are calibrated in minimum and maximum ranges rather than as fixed annual amounts for 2011. The police chief’s salary ranges from $85,000 to $140,000 maximum. The range is $80,000 to $135,000 for the police captain. The borough administrator’s salary range is $35,000 to $50,000, with an additional $40,000 to $88,000 for handling the duties of chief financial officer. The assistant chief financial officer will be paid in the range of $40,000 to $61,000, and will also work as the acting chief financial officer of Midland Park on an approximate half-time basis with Midland Park picking up the tab for work outside Glen Rock. The borough clerk’s salary will be in the range of $40,000 to $74,000, and the clerk-secretary will receive a salary in the range of $29,000 to $50,000. Glen Rock’s tax assessor will receive a salary in the range of $25,000 to $39,000 for a part-time position, and the tax collector will receive a salary in the range of $25,000 to $67,000, with a range of $25,000 to $44,000 for the assistant cashier. The code enforcement officer will receive a salary in the range of $30,000 to $100,000. The director of public works will receive a salary in the range of $50,000 to $99,000, with a range of $30,000 to $50,000 for the office secretary. The recycling coordinator will receive a salary in the range of $40,000 to $81,000. The salary for the library director ranges from $60,000 to $93,000, with a range of $50,000 to $69,000 for the assistant director and $40,000 to $56,000 for the supervising children’s librarian. The administrative secretary/bookkeeper will receive a salary of $34,000 to $50,000. The supervising library assistant receives a salary in the range of $27,000 to $42,000, and the senior library assistant receives a salary of $25,000 to $39,000. A regular library assistant or children’s library assistant receives a salary of $21,500 to $34,000. Coleman HSA sets Derby Social The Coleman Home and School Association will host a Derby Social on Saturday, April 9 at Saint Catharine’s Community Hall from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event, which is a benefit for the school’s physical education program, will feature video horse races and an opportunity to acquire original artwork created by each grade level at Coleman School. Families and area businesses may also name a horse and jockey participating in one of the races. In addition to dancing, food, and spirits, there will be many great prizes, including gift certificates/free passes to area businesses including Francesca’s, Volt Fitness, Beekman’s, Highlights and Hair, Glen Rock Inn, Superdome, In the Swing, and RetroFitness.
