dessert will be served. The reverend will also speak at the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services on Sunday, Feb. 13 at The Unitarian Society of Ridgewood. Rev. Fulgence was born in Burundi, a small country in central Africa just South of Rwanda. He was raised Roman Catholic and, as a young man, decided to become a priest. However, during his philosophical training with the Dominican Fathers, he started raising questions with theological implications and, after a few years, it was clear that he should follow another spiritual path. He first found Unitarian Universalism through the Internet and started a journey that led him to become a Unitarian minister. He is currently the minister at the Unitarian Church in Bujumbura, Burundi. Rev. Fulgence has also worked with many international organizations, including Oxfam Quebec, CRS, and CORD where he is currently the Burundi Program Manager. He is married to Therese and has a son, Bwigenge. Last year, the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood purchased a machine to be used in Burundi to make soap from palm ker-
