Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli has announced the arrests of Pamela Barthel Faber of Ringwood, Susan Schroter of Haledon, Gricel Feliciano-Soto of Hawthorne. The charges were the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, White Collar Crimes Squad, under the direction of Chief Steven Cucciniello. Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, White Collar Crimes Squad, received information from officers of the Glen Rock Savings Bank that Faber, Schroter, and Feliciano-Soto conspired and committed check kiting and stole money from customer accounts while they were employed by the bank. The investigation revealed that, begin-

Beginning on July 22, 2010, there were seven withdrawals totaling $33,000 from a customer’s certificate of deposit account and were authorized by Faber, the branch manager of the Glen Rock branch of the Glen Rock Savings Bank and processed by Feliciano-Soto, who was a teller in the Glen Rock branch. Some of these funds were then deposited into their personal accounts. The customer reported that his balance appeared to be lower than he had thought. The annual audit conducted by the bank disclosed a second scheme involving employees raiding a customer’s account and using the funds for their personal use. Beginning on Dec. 13, 2010, there were five withdrawals from a customer’s certificate of deposit account. These transactions were initiated and authorized by Vice President Schroter and the majority of the transactions were processed by FelicianoSoto. These withdrawals totaled $29,170 and the funds were deposited into accounts held by Schroter and two family members. These withdrawals ended on June 20, 2011. During this same period, it was learned that Schroter kited checks through the bank from her personal account with the help of Faber and Feliciano-Soto. All three defendants were subsequently terminated by Glen Rock Savings.
