Glenn Jacobsen of Jacobsen Landscape Design and Construction recently spearheaded the inaugural Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Gives Back community service project. The project was held in Louisville, Kentucky in connection with the Green Industry Conference, PLANET’s national annual meeting. “Volunteerism is a personal passion of mine as well as a vital part of the corporate culture of Jacobsen Landscape,” said Jacobsen, founder and owner of the 33year-old landscape company with headquarters in Midland Park and a landscape gallery in Saddle River. The PLANET Gives Back volunteer project was the culmination of nearly a year’s worth of planning by Jacobsen. The day-long event in November teamed PLANET volunteers with Metro United Way, a local United Way affiliate, to enhance four facilities in downtown Louisville. Project sites included Bridgehaven Mental Health Services, Heuser Hearing Institute, The Center for Women and Fam-
