The program will be held at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Ridgewood Public Library, 125 North Maple Avenue in Ridgewood. This second part of the video looks at the driving forces that have compelled individuals to immigrate to America for centuries and have remained constant throughout history: economic opportunity, religious freedom, and artistic expression. The series looks at the particular forces that drove women to come to America in search of opportunity and the basic human rights they had been denied in their homelands. Dramatic, contemporary stories are at the center of each episode along with portraits of immigrants who came before.
