Ridgewood April 13, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 7 Making sweet music The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has selected three Ridgewood High School (RHS) student chamber music ensembles to perform in the 28th Annual Young Musician’s Concert, to be held at the world famous Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City in April. Groups from throughout the tri-state area sent applications and audition recordings and only 10 groups were selected. RHS has had one or two ensembles perform in this select program for 15 of the last 16 years, but this is the first time three of the ensembles have been selected. For 28 years, the Young Musicians Program has provided young chamber musicians an opportunity to work with renowned musicians and master teachers in preparation for a professional performance experience that is unique to the program. Participating ensembles receive three coaching sessions with a Chamber Music Society artist and perform at Lincoln Center. The students selected include Christian Pajusi, cello; InHo Hwang, clarinet; and Derek Sung, piano performing ‘Piano Trio, op. 11’ by Beethoven; Victoria Chung, oboe; Max Dabby, horn; Bennett Hampilos, clarinet; Emily Rizzo, bassoon; and Lily Josefsberg, flute performing ‘Divertimento No. 1 in Bb for Winds’ by Haydn; and David Suh, Jeffrey Horn, Chris DuBois, Samantha Fink, Riki Saito performing ‘Sacrificial Rite for Percussion’ by Gillingham.
