The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ramapo High School and The College of New Jersey in Ewing. She earned a master’s degree in school psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is currently employed as a school psychologist in Glen Ridge. Her fiancé graduated from Wood-Ridge High School and is pursuing a degree in criminal justice from Thomas Edison State College. He is a Wyckoff police officer. A fall 2011 wedding is planned. Anniversaries Hofstroms celebrate 71st anniversary Nadine and Richard Drake of Waldwick have announced the engagement of their daughter, Erica Michelle, to Michael Denis, son of Patricia and Joseph Scalise of Brooklyn, New York. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is currently a nurse at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Her fiancé graduated from Brooklyn College with a bachelor of science degree. He is employed by J.P. Morgan Chase as a business analyst. A June 2012 wedding is planned. Carl and Alva Hofstrom of Wyckoff celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on Sept. 21. Carl and Alva met at age three and were married in the Elim Church in Brooklyn, New York. In 1948, they moved to Wyckoff, where they raised their four children. Today, they are the proud grandparents of 12 and great-grandparents of nine, with two more on the way.
