Baseball team sells mums The Midland Park 2012 Cooperstown baseball team will sell mums on Saturday, Sept. 24 in the Nativity Church parking lot from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The colorful fall favorites are in eight-inch pots and may be purchased for $6. (Rain date: Oct. 1.) Proceeds from the sale will benefit the baseball team trip to the tournament in Cooperstown, New York next summer. Foundation plans shopping benefit Shop for the latest fashions at Lord & Taylor in Ridgewood on Thursday, Oct. 6 and support The Midland Park Public Education Foundation at the same time. The MPPEF is once again participating in this fundraising event. One hundred percent of all tickets sold by the MPPEF go directly to the foundation. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased from any MPPEF Trustee or by e-mailing Bobbie Gackowski at bobbiegack@aol.com.

Parent groups hold meeting Midland Park High School PTA, PAPS, and Boosters will hold a joint meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. in the media center at Midland Park High School. The school is located at 250 Prospect Street. Members and prospective members will have the opportunity to learn about the three organizations and how they benefit our students at MPHS. Light refreshments will be served. Restaurant holds Golf Outing Legends Steakhouse, located at 118 Godwin Avenue in Midland Park, will
sponsor a Golf Outing at the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe, New York on Monday, Sept. 26. The cost is $160 per person and includes continental breakfast, greens fees, golf cart, prizes, two-hour open bar and dinner at Legends. Sponsorships are available.
