Recycling center accepts electronics
Electronic equipment is now being accepted at the Wyckoff Recycling Center located at 476 West Main Street. Wyckoff residents and Wyckoff businesses are welcome to place their computer components and electronic devices in the designated container. Items that can be accepted items include: printers, modems, televisions, fax machines, computer monitors, mice, keyboards, scanners, speakers, cell phones, power sources, hard drives, lap tops, stereo equipment, copy machines, toaster ovens, microwaves, DVD players, and VCRs. A comprehensive list of items and their proper disposal can be found on Wyckoff on the Web (www. wyckoff-nj.com) under “recycling and trash.” Residents may also help lessen the amount of trash hauled to landfills by purchasing reusable shopping bags. Keep in mind that some stores will accept returns of bags that came from their stores. Packing peanuts may be brought to the UPS store where they are reused. Household batteries may be brought to the recycling center, and metal hangers should be returned to the cleaners or taken to the recycling center.
Thomas J. Shara, president and CEO of Lakeland Bank, has announced the appointment of Daniel Lusignan to assistant vice president mortgage originator based at the Lakeland Bank Branchville office. Lusignan has 19 years of banking experience, most recently with Citizens Bank where he was mortgage loan officer in Vails Gate, New York. From 2003 to 2010, he was a mortgage consultant at HSBC Mortgage Corporation in Nyack, New York, and has over 13 years in the mortgage business. Lusignan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. He is a volunteer coach for his town soccer, basketball and baseball youth athletic teams. Lusignan resides in Chester, New York with his wife Jean Marie and their two sons. Lakeland Bancorp, the holding company for Lakeland Bank, has an asset base of approximately $2.8 billion and 47 offices spanning six northern New Jersey counties: Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren.

The Wyckoff Library, now located at its temporary site at 637 Wyckoff Avenue, is will resume Saturdays hours beginning Sept. 10. one year. The project began in March and will include an enlarged children’s department and a renovation of the public spaces in the library.
