Parish membership is not required. Workshops are presented by the Career Resources Ministry whose members are dedicated to helping those seeking employment. Professionals in the field will present the workshop and will be on hand to give advice. This workshop topic is “Define Your Target Market.” Participants should bring a recent resume or job experience information. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Giant Garage, Bake & Craft Sale set The Holland Christian Home will hold its 11th Annual Giant Garage, Bake and Craft Sale on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. The sale will feature used furniture, kitchen utensils, holiday decorations, and more. Food Director Steve Schott and resident apple-peelers will offer apple pies and homemade soups. Baked goods by members of the auxiliary and handmade items by the woodworking group will also be available. The Holland Christian Home is located at 151 Graham Avenue in North Haledon. Household hazardous waste collection slated The Bergen County Utilities Authority will sponsor a free household hazardous waste collection on Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at Bergen County College, 400 Paramus Road in Paramus. Materials that will be accepted include aerosol cans, batteries, bug sprays, drain cleaners, and paints of all types.
