Expert instructors will demonstrate tying techniques. Experienced tiers are welcome to bring their own equipment and work along side the instructors. Equipment and materials will be available for beginners who will be guided through the basics. Women and men interested in learning about fly tying are welcome. Business Card Exchange comes to Lauretta’s The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Card Exchange on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 pm. The event is hosted by Chamber member Sal Lauretta for Men, located at 621 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park. For over three decades, Sal Lauretta for Men has provided discerning men with the finest men’s fashions and custom tailored suits. In addition to made-to-measure items and formal wear, the shop is also home to some of the biggest names in men’s classic and contemporary designer fashion and recently opened a boys’ department. Employment workshop scheduled Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church’s Career Resources Ministry, in its continuing effort to provide help to people seeking employment, will present the fourth of a four-part series of workshops on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. The workshop will be held in the meeting room in the lower church and is open to anyone seeking employment and those who anticipate possible unemployment. Parish membership is not required. Workshops are presented by the Career Resources Ministry, whose members are dedicated to helping those seek- ing employment. Professionals in the field will present the workshop and will be on hand to give advice. This workshop topic is “Interview, Cultivate Offers, and Negotiate.” Participants should bring a recent resume or job experience information. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. The IAUC is a human rights organization working for peace with justice in a reunited Ireland. ‘Babes in Toyland’ performed WPU “Babes in Toyland,” a contemporary adaptation of the classic holiday tale presented by American Family Theater, will be staged at William Paterson University in Wayne on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus. Free pre-show activities will begin at 1:15 p.m., and there will be a post-show autograph session. All tickets are $10. The show is appropriate for children from pre-K through grade five.
