Rev. David Bach of the Wyckoff Reformed Church officiated and a reception followed at the Emerald Ballroom at Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg. Laurel Peterson, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Bonagura, Erica Bowman, Divya Khosla, Ashley Lakin, and Jaimie Reuland, friends of the bride. The bride’s cousins Ceci O’Marah and Ellie Fox served as flower girls. Tim Hade, friend of the groom, was best man. Thomas and Lynda Pasqueretta of Hawthorne, formerly of Wyckoff, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Carole Lynn Pasqueretta, to Peter John Capella, son of Randy and Maria Capella of Wyckoff. The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Ramapo High School, a 2002 graduate of Greensboro College, and an MBA graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with certification in marketing and pharmaceutical management. She is currently employed as a sales specialist for Teva Pharmaceuticals in Woodcliff Lake. Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Bergen Catholic High School and attended New York University. He is currently employed as a member of the New York Carpenters’ Union. An autumn 2012 wedding is planned.

Lindsay Sekel, daughter of Brian Sekel of Oakland and Ruth Sekel of Midland Park, married David Gurak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gurak of Wyckoff, Aug. 14 at Grace Church in Ridgewood. The Rev. Jeffrey Graves officiated. A reception followed at The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, New York. The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory tulle gown with handmade silk flowers and Alençon lace appliqués. She wore her grandmother’s aquamarine ring and carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus, and stephanotis. Jane Sheehan, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Swistock, sister of the groom, and Sara Keller, Emma Peck, Kate Walker, Chelsea Eakins, Angela Tornello, all friends of the bride. Marian Scarano of the Horizon House apartments in Franklin Lakes celebrated her 105 birthday on Oct. 30. The active centenarian, born in Abruzzi, Italy, was the oldest of five children, including Helen DiSanto and Charles DiSanto. The family came to the United States in 1920. She has two children, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Scarano plays bingo in the evenings and takes care of her younger sister Helen.
