Loretta Graham, nee Dando, of Ramsey, died May 17. She was 88. She was a member of the Ramsey First Presbyterian Church in Ramsey, the Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and Ramsey Senior Center. She is survived by her children Margaret Paglia and Laurie Finch, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Robert “Scotty” Graham. John Edward McKiernan Jr. of Wyckoff died May 13. He was 90. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He volunteered for duty in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He owned and operated McKiernan Construction Company for approximately 40 years. Following his retirement, he supported the students and athletes at Ramapo High School and was inducted into the Ramapo High School Athletic Hall of Fame in its inaugural year for his support as the number one fan. He was a lifetime member Loretta Graham of the 94th Infantry Association, Purple Heart Association, Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, American Legion and VFW. He is survived by his wife Frances; his children Barbara Hankins of Toms River, Rosemarie McKiernan of Ringwood, John E., III of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and James of Wyckoff; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Rosenblum of Franklin Lakes, formerly of Old Bridge, died May 17. He was 71. Before retiring, he was a paramedic with Saint Joseph’s of Wayne from 1984-2004. He has been a fireman with Franklin Lakes since 1988 and a fire inspector for the past 17 years. He has been involved with many fire safety programs and the Read Across America program. He was a former fireman in South Old Bridge. He is survived by his wife Jennifer Rosenblum (nee Masker); his children David Rosenblum of Arizona, Audra Rosenblum of Old Bridge, Michele DeRosa of Fair Lawn; and Mary Lemin of Franklin Lakes; seven grandchildren; and his sister Dr. Marjorie Rosenblum. He was a carpenter for the Erie Railroad before taking a position as a bank teller with the First National Bank in Paterson. He was a member of Saint Anthony’s R.C. Church in Hawthorne, and a former member of the Holy Name Society at Saint Brendan’s R.C. Church in Clifton. He is survived by his son Dennis E. Salata of Wayne, his granddaughter Ashley Salata of Wayne, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Frances M. (nee Tufano), his son Father Stephen T. He attended Eastside High School in Paterson and was a former member of the Church of the Messiah. He was the night crew foreman for Shop Rite in Fair Lawn, where he worked for 28 years. He is survived by his brother Ronald Thiessen of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; and his nieces and nephews Tara Thiessen of New York City, New York, Susan Smith of Greenwood Lake, James Mervicker of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Paul Stasko of Mahwah. He was predeceased by his wife Betty Jean (Sekeet) Thiessen, his parents Howard and Florence Thiessen, and his sister Carol Vignoli. He was a deacon at First Christian Reformed Church in Haledon and served as an elder and administrator for Midland Park Christian Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife Joan (nee Sikkema) Van Der Weert of Wyckoff; his children Mark van der Weert of Bainbridge, Georgia and Pensacola, Florida and Timothy van der Weert of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; two grandchildren; and his siblings Joan Schlossman and Neal Vander Weert, both of Midland Park, Eleanor Kooreman of North Haledon, Joyce Kastelein of South Hampton, and Ruth Stelpstra of Arizona.
