The concert will be presented on Friday, June 3 at 8 p.m. at the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood. Auditions are by appointment only and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Those auditioning must be prepared to sing the second movement (“The 23rd Psalm”) in Bernstein’s "Chichester Psalms.” Music may be obtained through J.W. The Junior League of Bergen County will present an allnew StarPower! on Saturday, March 26 at Bergen Commu- nity College, 400 Paramus Road in Paramus. StarPower! is an interactive program for fifth and sixth grade girls and a parent or guardian, and addresses issues particularly relevant to girls as they approach their teen years. The upcoming event marks the seventh time the JLBC has presented StarPower! The theme of the spring StarPower! is developing selfesteem. Orchestra plans dinner/fashion benefit The Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra will hold a dinner, fashion show, and special auction on Saturday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church located at 105 Cottage Place, in Ridgewood. The gala evening is the orchestra’s main fundraiser of the season. Funds raised will be used to offset the increasing costs of music and space rental. The evening will feature fashions that can be found at local businesses, plus a special auction that will have some- thing for everyone. RSO Dinner and Fashion Show tickets are $50 per person and are available at Oliver’s Chocolates at 46 East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood. Tickets may also be reserved by sending a check (payable to “Ridgewood Symphony”) to RSO Fashion Show, P.O. Box 176, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Tickets will be held at the door. The Ridgewood Symphony, which has been performing for more than 70 years, is among the largest volunteer orchestras in the state. In addition to performing four subscription concerts each season, the RSO sponsors several educational programs, including the annual Festival Strings Youth Orchestra for middle school students, and the Project Symphony program for area elementary schools. Seniors invited to ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ The Brookside Hillside Music and Arts Association invites senior citizens to a special performance of “Fiddler on the Roof” at Brookside School, 100 Brookside Avenue in Allendale, on Thursday March 24 at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free. “Fiddler on the Roof” is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theater International. Logo design contest open to students Community Meals, Inc., which is now celebrating 40 years of “meals on wheels” service, has announced a logo design contest. The contest is open to high school students who reside in Allendale, Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Ridgewood, and Waldwick. The winning logo will replace the current logo that was designed in 1987. Top cash award is $100. Entries are due by noon on Friday, April 1.
