She is survived by her children Ann Byron of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Joseph Byron of Jackson, Wyoming, three grandchildren, and her sister and brotherin-law, Lillian and Stiles Thomas of Allendale. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Byron. She was interred with her husband at West Point, New York. Mark DeLuca of Franklin Lakes, formerly of Secaucus, died June 7. He was 67. He was a real estate broker and owner of Mark DeLuca Reality and Mark DeLuca Management Company with offices in Secaucus, Teaneck and Hackensack. A member of the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes he was also involved with the Franklin Lakes Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline (nee Price) DeLuca of Franklin Lakes, his children Michael and Gavyn DeLuca of Franklin Lakes, and Cory DeLuca of Queens, New York. She was employed by International Wire Products in Wyckoff for many years. She was a member of the Bergen County Senior Center in Midland Park. She is survived by her sons Douglas of Wyckoff and Bruce of Berkeley, California, and her nieces, Janet, Marilyn, and Susan and their families. Holtman of Allendale died June 5. He was 87. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was employed with ABEX Corp. in Mahwah for 35 years. He was a parishioner of Saint Paul’s RC Church in Ramsey. He is survived by his children Dr. Joseph R. Holtman Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, John J. Holtman of Mendon, Vermont, and Thomas G. Holtman of Warwick, New York, six grandchildren, and his brother William Holtman of Denver, Colorado. He was predeceased by his wife Lois A. Holtman (nee Schmitt), and his sister Mary K. Bonick. Charles M. Jandris III of Oakland, formerly of Wyckoff, died June 6. He was 80. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 25 and owned Suchomel’s Sheet Metal Company in Newark through 1979. He then founded Janco Company in Wyckoff. He retired in 1994. He was a Golden Member of the Midland Park Wyckoff VFW Post 7086, and a member of “The Twilighters,” a quartet that played in various night clubs in the New Jersey area. He also played in all-accordion orchestras in his younger years at Carnegie Hall. He was a member of the Mercedes Benz Club of America. He is survived by his wife Rae Ann Baldino Jandris, his daughter Doreen J. Wood of Bowie, Maryland, Chuck J. Jandris of Mahwah, and three grandchildren. Kirk of Midland Park, formerly of Dumont, died June 5. He had worked for the National Association of Manufacturers in Manhattan for 25 years. After retiring, he took a job as a school crossing guard in Dumont. His remained at his post at Seltzer School for 19 years until he retired at 84. He was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. He is survived by his daughter Theresa Kirk Durie of Carluke, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, UK. Before retiring, he was president of Depicto Films Corp. in New York City for many years. He was a member of YPO, the Junior Davis Cup Team, Arcola Country Club, and the Country Club of Florida. Hopf Peggy Silver (continued from page 14) Christie, an independent contractor and a member of the Wyckoff Zoning Board of Adjustment, is a long-term member of Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department and serves president of Engine Company #1 and as chaplain of the entire department. He is active in the Reformed Church and in a number of volunteer community activities. He and his wife have two children. Madigan, appointed to fill the unexpired term of former Mayor David Connolly, is now seeking the electorate’s approval. He is an accounts executive with a packaging firm in Teterboro. A is a graduate of Stonehill College in Massachusetts, Madigan served for 12 years on the Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education and as a member of the Ramapo High School Music Parents Association. He has been a coach for baseball, soccer, softball, and basketball, and is also active in Rotary. He is a former member of the Wyckoff Recreation Board and served as liaison to the Master Plan Committee in 2010. He is also the director of the Elizabeth “Bitsy” Madigan Scholarship Fund, named in memory of his daughter. Scanlan is a graduate of Rutgers College of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, with graduate credits from Columbia University. Scanlan works in medical publishing with a German pharmaceutical firm. He and his wife have three daughters, and the entire family is active in outreach construction programs to people in need as volunteers.
