Page 20 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • June 8, 2011 Wyckoff Wanderings Summer Reading Club to begin Readers ranging from the “read-to-me” age to grade six are invited to travel the seven continents through the Wyckoff Library’s Summer Reading Club, “One World, Many Stories.” Registration will begin Friday, June 24 at the library’s temporary location, 637 Wyckoff Avenue. Events planned for the summer include magic, music, juggling, theater, art workshops, food, games, and prizes. The first program, Mr. Fish’s Super Scientific Circus, the Science of Magic, will be held June 29 at 2 p.m. Registration is required. Alliance fundraiser set On Tuesday, June 7, 3 Chicas Mexican Kitchen, 637 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff will sponsor a Community Night fundraiser to benefit The Wyckoff Municipal Alliance/DARE Program. The restaurant will donate 20 percent of all dine in/take out lunch and dinner purchases to this cause. To participate, present a 3 Chicas flyer, found at www.wyckoff-nj.com under the Municipal Alliance link. All proceeds will benefit “Rachel’s Challenge” in the fall of 2011. Library offers summer programs for teens Throughout the summer, Wyckoff teens entering grades seven through 10 are invited to join the Wyckoff Library’s summer reading program. Registration will run from June 23 through Aug. 18. In addition to the reading program, book discussion groups Talk It Up, for teens in grades (continued on page 23) This year’s FLOW Follies production netted $40,000 for scholarships that will be presented to graduating seniors from Ramapo High School and Indian Hills High School. The regional high school district serves students in Franklin Lakes, Oakland, and Wyckoff. Over the last 25 years, FLOW Follies has distributed almost $450,000 in scholarships. It is the largest scholarship provider in the RIH district. In celebration of the organization’s 25 Years of Service, FLOW Follies will award 25 scholarships of $800 each to each high school. Successful effort
