Eloise D. Illman of Milanville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Midland Park, died July 14. She was 81. She is survived by her husband David Illman, her son Marc Illman, two grandchildren, and her sisters Dorothy Regan and Jacki Salem. Arrangements were made by Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg, NewYork. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice House or the Milanville Cemetery. Robert Henry Nylund of Wyckoff died July 12. He was 79. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He retired in 1993 after 37 years of employment with Allied Bendix Aerospace in Teterboro. He had received many awards for future technology in aerospace. He had direct involvement with many space programs, including Apollo, Hubble, and the U2 spy plane piloted by Gary Powers. He performed in the opera “Aida” in the role of high priest at the New York Met with opera singer Leontyne Price. He was a member of High Mountain Golf Club in Franklin Lakes. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 170 in Wyckoff. He was a Little League coach, Boy Scout leader, and a member of the Wyckoff Men’s Softball and Basketball teams on which he played well into his 60s. He is survived by his wife Gay (nee DiVanno), his children Robert Nylund of Hackettstown, Debra Green of Wyckoff, and Susan Senna of Raleigh, North Carolina, and three grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Michael J. “Mike” Perrotta of Wyckoff, formerly of Hawthorne, died July 18. He was 92. He was the vice president of the UAW Local 906 at the Ford Motor Plant in Mahwah and later served as the vice president of the UAW Retirees. He was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s RC Church in Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife Mary (nee Portella) Perrotta, his daughter Jean M. Riva of North Haledon, and one granddaughter. Portway, formerly of Ridgewood and Franklin Lakes, died July 19. He was 84. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He graduated from Fordham Preparatory School, Fordham University and earned his degree in dentistry from Columbia University. He was a professor at Columbia Dental School until 1966, when he entered into private practice as an endodontist in New York City, where

he worked for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Upper Montclair Country Club and a parishioner at Saint Aloysius Church in Caldwell. He is survived by his children Gregg Portway, Doug Portway, and Nan Cooney, six grandchildren, and his brother William Portway. He was predeceased by his wife Ann. Helen Margaret Riccardi, nee Canzano, of Wyckoff, formerly of Franklin Lakes, died July 20. She was 77. Before she was a real estate associate with Weichert Realtors in Tenafly, she was the owner of the Italian Carousel Gourmet Deli in Ramsey. She is survived by her children Rachel Addonizio of Florham Park, Anthony III and Sophia Riccardi of Oakland, Christopher and Dawn Riccardi of Wall, Robert and Sheila Riccardi of Paramus, Gregory and Keri Riccardi of Allendale, and Matthew Riccardi of Oakland, 14 grandchildren, her siblings Anthony Canzano, Edward Canzano, Vincenza Pinelli, Ida Tozzi, Rose Lombardi, Albert Canzano, Anne Canzano, and Rita Bello, and her former husband Anthony Riccardi Jr. She was predeceased by her siblings Lawrence, Thomas, and Joseph Canzano, and Angelina Brown. Letitia Jane “Tish” Sage, nee Lyon, of Ramsey died July 18. She was 94. In young adulthood, she hosted a radio show in Binghamton, New York. She embarked on a newspaper career, first in Owego, New York and then at the Syracuse Post-Standard. She was editor for Beauty Fashion magazine in New York City, and before retiring, she was vice president of public relations of the United States headquarters of Myrurgia Perfumes of Barcelona, later Fragrances Selective. She was a Girl Scout leader, a was a member of the Ramsey Free Public Library Board, the Ramsey Historical Association and Old Stone House Museum, the Ladies’ Auxiliary at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, the New Jersey Symphony, and other groups. She was a member of the Saint John’s Memorial Episcopal Church in Ramsey. She is survived by her children Jane Hylicke of Bridgewater and Joe Sage of Scottsdale, Arizona, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, and her siblings Jeff Lyon of Watkins Glen, New York, and Doris Frank of Berlin.
