Floro S. Burgos, MD of Wyckoff, formerly of Nutley and Margate, died July 9. He was 76. He was a 1961 graduate of the University of Santo Tomas Medical School in the Philippines and served his residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Saint Peter’s Medical Center, and the Veteran Affairs Medical Center. He was an internist, along with his wife, with a private practice in Paterson. He served on the medical staff of Saint Joseph Medical Center in Paterson and was a member of the New Jersey Medical Association. He was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Franklin Lakes. He is survived by his wife Lourdes (nee Alojipan), MD, his children Jennifer Chang of Annandale, Virginia, Gail Schairer of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Lorraine Elmo of Trumbull, Connecticut, nine grandchildren, and his siblings Jason Burgos, MD and Don Burgos, MD both of Mount Dora, Florida, and Jose Burgos and Violeta Aguila, both of the Philippines. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Warren W. Grund of Wyckoff, formerly of Lincoln Park, died July 11. He was 90. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of WWII. Before retiring in 1983, he was an electrical technician for Coulter Electronics in Union. He was previously employed by ITT and Western Union. He was a school crossing guard in Wyckoff for 18 years. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 279 of Lincoln Park and a former member of the Lincoln Park Volunteer First Aid Squad. He is survived by his wife Ruth (nee Runge), his daughter Deborah McGurk of California, his step-children Susan Terris of California, Nancy Streaser of Ridgewood, Alexander Hryncewich of Maryland, and James Hryncewich of Oregon, and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Diane Grund. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff. Albert Lembo, of Franklin Lakes, formerly of Paterson, died July 10. He was 85. He graduated from The Rutgers University College of Pharmacy in 1946 and became a registered pharmacist in 1947. He opened his own pharmacy Lembo Drugs in Paterson. Due to his extraordinary 54 years of service to the Paterson community, the Paterson City Council designated a section of Cianci Street as “Albert Lembo Way” in 2004. He wrote a novel entitled “To Conquer an Empire.” He had been a parishioner at Saint Michael’s R.C. Church in Paterson. He is survived by his children Linda Lembo Alonso, Dr. Nicholas Lembo, and Grace Lembo Burger, six grandchildren, and his sister Catherine Lembo Cinderella. He was predeceased by his

Louise Moran Lyons of Leesburg, Virginia, formerly of Wyckoff, died July 12. She was 81. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the College of Mount Saint Mary in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Later, after she completed a course in computer programming, she worked for Oxford University Press in Fair Lawn, and International Wire in Wyckoff and Inman, South Carolina. She is survived by her husband Daniel F. Lyons of Leesburg, Virginia, her children Ellen Lyons of Burke, Virginia, Dan Lyons III of Waterford, Virginia, Jane Lyons of Burke, Virginia, Beth Lyons of Seattle, Washington, three grandchildren, and her siblings John Moran of Nashua, New Hampshire, Madonna Moran, RSM of Manchester, New Hampshire, Gabriel Moran of New York, New York, and Dorothy Perkins of New Boston, New Hampshire. She was 73. She was born in Hungary and came to the U.S. in 1956. She was the founder of E.M. Orthodontic Lab in Waldwick and partnered with her son Paul. She is survived by her sons Steve and Paul, and three grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Michael Robert Mayer of Waldwick died July 13. An avid sports fan, he loved playing baseball, soccer, and hockey, and was a fan of the Yankees, Liverpool FC, the Devils, the Knicks, and the Jets. He was an accomplished video game player. He is survived by his parents Christopher and Roberta of Waldwick, his brother Christopher, his maternal grandparents Nicholas and Anna Marie Saccente of Warren, his paternal grandparents Edward and Margaret Mayer of West Palm Beach, Florida, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Zabransky, nee McKee, of Wyckoff died July 9. She was 80. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church and the Wyckoff Newcomers Club. She was a retired benefits supervisor at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood, where she a member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Senior Adult Ministry. She was also a member of Highlights in Leisure Time. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Margaret of Ridgewood, and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William Francis McCabe, and her son William McCabe. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Major II of Mahwah, formerly of Woodcliff Lakes, died July 12. He was 79. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a graduate of Fordham University and Seton Hall Law School. He was a partner in the law firm Major and Major of Hackensack. He was a member of the Bergen County Bar Association and The Lawyers Club of Bergen County, and was a trustee of The George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. He is survived by his wife Jean (nee Moninger) Major, his children Kathleen M. Major, James A. Major III, and Robert K. Major, and one granddaughter. He was predeceased by his grandson Kevin Major. Count on the IRS: In the event of a disaster, the IRS stands ready to help. The IRS has valuable information you can request if your records are destroyed. If you have been affected by a federally declared disaster, you can receive copies or transcripts of previously filed tax returns free of charge by submitting Form 4506, Request for Copy of Tax Return, or Form 4506-T, Request for Transcript of Tax Return. Clearly indicate the official name of the disaster in red at the top of the form, to expedite processing and waive the usual fee for tax return copies.
