Going ‘Behind the Seams’ for Eva’s Kitchen Police report (continued from page 20) left a carriage full of liquor in the parking lot and fled the scene by foot. The subject, a 27-year-old female resident of Wallington, was apprehended and taken into custody. She was transported to headquarters and processed. She was released and is scheduled to appear in the Midland Park Municipal Court. The total proceeds on the attempted shoplifting amounted to $825. Lt. Bernard Vandenberg and Officer Vander Pyl investigated. At 9:05 p.m. that day, Sgt. Powderley, Det. Sgt. Gibbons, and Officer Canonico arrested two 17-year-old female residents of Midland Park and a 24-year-old male resident of Wyckoff. When the officers were investigating a report of suspicious persons on Godwin Avenue behind the skateboard ramp, they detected the smell of burnt marijuana in the area. The individuals were located, and a strong odor of burnt marijuana emanated from each of them. They were subsequently taken to headquarters and processed. The juveniles are to appear in Family Court. The Wyckoff resident was released with a pending court date. A Payne Avenue resident reported to Officer Canonico on June 27 that he was advised by his bank that his account was overdrawn. He stated that two fraudulent charges, amounting to more than $1,230, were made on his account. The case was referred to the detective bureau.
