Carnival comes to town The Lions Clubs from Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes will host a carnival at McBride Field in Franklin Lakes July 13 through 17. The event will feature rides, games, food, and contests. Wristbands for ride admission will be available on all days. Carnival hours will be 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, July 13, 14 and 15; and 3 to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17. McBride Field is located on Franklin Lake Road, across from the Market Basket in Franklin Lakes. All proceeds from the event will benefit these two local clubs. Chamber plans networking events The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a business card exchange for members and non-members on Tuesday, July 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is hosted by Jacobsen Landscaping Design and Construction’s Landscape Gallery at 11 Barnstable Court, Saddle River, NJ 07458. The cost is $15 for Chamber members and $30 for nonmembers. Prepaid registration is required to guarantee participation; an additional $5 processing fee will be charged if paid the day of event. On July 26, the Chamber will offer an evening of informative seminars and a business card exchange from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the new Crowne Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, 3 Executive Boulevard in Suffern, New York. Participants may register for their choice of educational seminar (all seminars run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.). Topics will include cloud computing, enterprise social media, and website design. The business card exchange will follow. The cost for Chamber members for both the seminar and the business card exchange is $35. The cost is $50 for non-members.
