She is survived by her daughters Rita Calderon of New York City and Norma Stehle and husband Karl of West Milford, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her brother-in-law Murray Nathan of New York City. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Calderon. Arrangements were made by Louis Suburban Chapel in Fair Lawn. Rosemarie Czarnogursky, nee Hickey, died Jan. 4. She was 80. Before retiring in 1992, she worked for Bendix for over 30 years. She sang in the choir of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Mahwah, and was a member of Saint Joseph’s Mother’s Club in East Rutherford, and the Knights of Columbus Saint Francis of Assisi Council #4524 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her children John Czarnogursky Jr. of East Rutherford and Debra Cooney of Moonachie, five grandchildren, and her siblings Ellen Pointer of South Carolina and Robert Hickey of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband John Czarnogursky Sr., and her sister Gertrude “Bunny” Connerton. Arrangements were made by Kimak Funeral Home in Carlstadt. Daniel G. Dilger Jr. of Wyckoff, formerly of Waldwick and Midland Park, died Jan. 2. He was 86. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was an accountant for Lowe Paper Company in Ridgefield for 39 years. He was a parishioner and Eucharistic minister at Saint Elizabeth’s R.C. Church in Wyckoff. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Saint Elizabeth’s and a member of the American Legion Post #57 in Waldwick. He is survived by his daughters Diana Hunt of Mahwah and Donna Hammer of Wyckoff, four grandchildren, and his sisters June Dayock, Constance Hughes, Dorothy Menist, and Ethel Scamporino. William Donnelly of Franklin Lakes died Jan. 4. He was 90. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was the manager of a detergent manufacturing plan for the Witco Chemical Co. Reinauer of Monmouth Beach, formerly of Midland Park and Wyckoff, died Jan. 2. He was 79. He was a graduate of Pompton Lakes High School and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania’s Class of 1953. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He joined the family business, Reinauer Transportation Companies, based in Newark and Staten Island, New York. The company is now known as Reinauer Maritime Group based in New York and Boston, Massachusetts. He was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club, Navisink Country Club, New York Athletic Club, and Mid-Ocean Club, Bermuda. He is survived by Cissi McEneaney, his children Dean Allison Reinauer-Murray of Sparta, Christian Franklin of Sparta, and Curtis Darrell of Quincy, Massachusetts, and three grandchildren. She had been a volunteer in Midland Park Scouting and ran a selfhelp group for Multiple Sclerosis patients. She is survived by her husband Alfred “Pat” Schmalfuhs, her sons Alfred and Eric, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Heidi. FLOW Notes Alliances offer Positive Parenting program The Municipal Alliances of Franklin Lakes, Oakland, and Wyckoff are sponsoring a three-part workshop for parents of fifth grade students in the FLOW area. Presented by The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources, “Positive Parenting” will be held on three consecutive Wednesdays – Jan. 26, and Feb. 2 and 9 -- at the Franklin Lakes Ambulance Corps Building on Bender Court from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The program is presented free of charge. “Positive Parenting” helps parents build resilience in their children and foster understanding and communication with their teens and preteens. This three-session program has been shown to significantly increase participants’ knowledge of drugs and alcohol and provide concrete skills to assist parents in communicating with their children. Dilger Jr. Rooney (continued from page 5) Wyckoff has sustained the largest loss in New Jersey state aid of any community in Bergen County, and urged those residents who are able to reach out to seniors in particular. Rooney thanked his wife Hayley and children Victoria, Jordan, Austin, and Cassidy for their patience with the amount of time he had to devote to his political career. He also thanked his father-in-law, the late Henry Shotmeyer, a former mayor of Wyckoff, for serving as his mentor and inspiration in local politics. Rooney credited Wyckoff Township Administrator Robert Shannon and his staff and Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin Fox for the significant savings Rooney cited: The WOLF coalition for joint purchasing that includes Wyckoff, Oakland, and Franklin Lakes was credited with saving $110,000, and three safety awards from the Joint Insurance Fund was credited with saving another $5,734. All five township committee members also agreed to waive their stipends for another year, saving an additional $20,000. The new mayor, educated at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale and at Ramapo College in Mahwah, served on the board of adjustment from 1999 to his election. He served as deputy mayor in 2010.
