Mahoney, whose career in long-term care began as a dietary aide while in college, is a graduate of the gerontology degree program at Molly College in Rockville Centre, New York. Her experience, prior to earning her administrator credentials, included serving as the director of social services at several health care facilities in the region. It is this background that speaks to Mahoney’s philosophy of resident-centered service. She has held the leadership role in major, highly-rated sub-acute and long-term care centers. “From my first tour of the Holland Christian Home, I knew it was a special place – unlike any I’ve ever been associated with,” Mahoney stated. “I look forward to a long, productive leadership role. The members of the board of directors are true stewards of the Holland Christian Home’s legacy, focusing on the mission of providing the best possible care and environment for our residents.” Mahoney lives in Sparta with her husband of 30 years, Brian.
