Y sets Heart Healthy Walk In honor of Heart Health Month, the YWCA Bergen County will host its Third Annual Heart Healthy Walk on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 9 to 10 a.m. Participants can walk their way to good health indoors while sampling the YWCA’s unique “Walk-Fit” program. The event will start with a warm-up followed by a brisk walk that is combined with “walk booster” exercises to increase the calorie burn. Mile markers allow walkers to choose a one-, two-, or three-mile walk. The event will be held at 112 Oak Street in Ridgewood. A $12 donation supports YWCA health and fitness programs. College Club seeks book donations College Club is making its final preparations for its annual Book Fair. The last day of book collections will be Wednesday, March 2 from 9 to10:30 a.m. at Somerville School, 45 South Pleasant Avenue in Ridgewood. Books should be in good condition. Please do not donate textbooks, encyclopedias, or magazines. Support group forming Beginning March 2, Mount Carmel Church, 1 Passaic Street in Ridgewood, will host a 10-week program to provide support for those who are separated or divorced. Each week, the group will journey through the divorce process, focusing on topics such as loneliness, stress, self image, guilt, blame, anger, forgiveness, and growth.
