School calendar
(continued from page 9) move backwards if more days are needed. Based on the school community’s response, and after much discussion, the school board decided on the following contingency plans. At the High Mountain Road School, if there is a need for one more snow day, a school day will be scheduled on Friday, June 22, extending the school year by one day. A second snow day would lead to scheduling a school day on Friday, April 13, the final day of the spring break, and a third snow day would require the district to schedule a school day on Thursday, April 12. At the other three schools, the district will use the first and second banked snow days to cover the first and second needs for snow days. A third snow day would require scheduling a school day on Friday, June 22 and beyond, if more days are needed to meet the state-mandated annual 180 days of school. F.J. McMAHON
