Abundant Life celebrates Christmas Abundant Life Reformed Church invites the community to its Christmas services. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, there will be a Family Candlelight Service at 5 p.m. with violinist Nik Nokra. The Traditional Candlelight Service will be held at 10 p.m. Both services will feature the Rev. Dr. Gene Poll who will deliver the message, “I Bring Good News,” and Trudy Van Beekum, the director of music ministry, leading the congregation in Christmas hymns. On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the wor-
ship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Thomas Larkin, pastor of Congregational Care, will preach “Christmas Gifts to Unwrap.” On Jan. 1, there will be a 10:30 a.m. New Year’s Day service. Christmas services planned Grace Methodist Church has scheduled
three services for Christmas Eve (Dec. 24). Family services will be held at 3 and 5 p.m., and the Candlelight Service will be at 9 p.m. On Christmas Day, there will be one service at 11 a.m. Regular Sunday services are held at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday school is offered to adults and children. Christmas and New Year’s at MPCR Midland Park Christian Reformed Church will celebrate the Christmas season with special services. On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the worship service will be held at 9:30 a.m. The congregation will celebrate on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, with a Communion service at 6 p.m. Nurseries are provided during all services. Christmas events at Franklin Lakes Baptist set Franklin Lakes Baptist Church, located at 649 Franklin Avenue in Franklin Lakes, will host a Coffeehouse Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24. Church of the Nativity sets holiday schedule Church of the Nativity in Midland Park has announced its schedule of Christmas and holy day Masses. Five Masses are planned for Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. The Children’s Family Liturgy for families with small children will be at 3:45 p.m. A Mass for the differentlyabled will be held at 5:30 p.m. Eucharistic Liturgies will be held at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., the choir and congregation will sing carols before the 10 p.m. Mass. For Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Masses will be said at 10:30 a.m. and noon. The Feast of the Holy Family will be celebrated with a Eucharistic Liturgy at 12:10 p.m. on Dec. 30. The public is invited to the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on New Year’s Day at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m., or noon.
The Feast of the Epiphany -- Bell Sunday will be observed on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m., and noon. Attendees are encouraged to bring bells. Special holiday programs offered The Midland Park United Methodist Church will hold its Christmas Pageant at 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. OPRC sets Christmas events All are welcome to join the intergenerational and interfaith Christmas events at Ridgewood’s Old Paramus Reformed Church. On Christmas Eve, OPRC Pastor Rev. Tom Marsden will preside at a Family Service at 5:30 p.m., followed by an 11 p.m. traditional Candlelight Service of lessons and carols. This service will also feature instrumentalists and the Chancel Choir. The Christmas Day service will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 25. The church is located at 660 East Glen Avenue at Route 17 South.
