Valley Hospital Auxiliary celebrates the holidays
Members of the Midland Park Branch of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary gathered at Bottagra Restaurant recently to celebrate the holiday season. Branch Chairwomen Gilda Gilmartin and Jo Ann Levine, top photo, center, welcomed the group and thanked them for their involvement in branch activities, including working at Kurth Cottage and the Community Thrift Shop, decorating the hospital, knitting for newborn babies, and planning the annual fashion show in April. Book club has calendars for sale The Fiction Chick Book Club of Midland Park is selling 2012 calendars that were created by the members of the club. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Meaningful Movements of Midland Park, an organization serving children and adults who are differently-abled. Learn to play Bobble Ball Midland Park Recreation invites the community to learn hand billiard bowling at Pool Time, 24 Central Avenue in Midland Park, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dec. 27 and 29, and Jan. 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, and 19 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per session.
