On Holy Thursday, April 21, the congregation will recall Jesus’ final hours of community and commitment at the 7:30 p.m. service. Good Friday will be observed April 22 with devotions, scripture, story, and song at 7:30 p.m. A contemporary service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. On April 24, Easter Sunday celebrations will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a SONrise service in the Memorial Garden, rain or shine. A fellowship breakfast will follow from 7:15 to 9:15 a.m. A festive service of Celebration and Communion will be held at 9:30 a.m. and at 10:45 a.m. there will be an Easter Egg Hunt. Grace United celebrates Holy Week Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff will offer services on Holy Thursday, April 21, at noon and 8 p.m. The evening service will include a reenactment of the Last Supper. A Good Friday service of the Tenebrae will be held April 22 at 8 p.m. in the chapel. On Easter Sunday, April 24, traditional services will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. There will also be a contemporary service celebrated at 9 a.m. Grace Methodist is located at 555 Russell Avenue in Wyckoff. On April 21, Holy Thursday, there will be a morning prayer service at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel. The Feast of the Lord’s Supper will be held at 7:30 p.m. with an exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 9 p.m. to midnight in the chapel. Good Friday, April 22, will begin with morning prayer at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel. Family Stations of the Cross will be held outside, weather permitting, at 10:30 a.m. The Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death will be held at 3 p.m. There will be no 12:10 p.m. Mass on Holy Thursday or Good Friday. On Holy Saturday, April 23, a morning prayer service will be held at 8:30 a.m. An Easter Egg Hunt and blessings of Easter baskets will be held outside, weather permitting, at 10:30 a.m. At the 8:15 p.m. Easter Vigil Mass, there will be a blessing of the New Fire, Paschal Candle and Baptismal Water, and a celebration of the Sacrament of Initiation. The regular 5 p.m. Mass will not be celebrated. For Easter Sunday, April 25, Eucharistic Liturgies will be held at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and noon. Cedar Hill Church announces services Cedar Hill Church in Wyckoff will offer a Tenebrae/ Communion Service on Good Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, April 24, the Girls’ Chorus will provide the music at the 10:30 a.m. service. Mark Holy Week at Abundant Life Abundant Life Reformed Church in Wyckoff will celebrate Holy Week with several services. On April 21, Maundy Thursday there will be a soup and bread supper at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Communion Service at 7:30 p.m. to commemorate Jesus’ Last Supper with His disciples. Ecumenical Good Friday service planned The pastors and churches of Midland Park invite the community to a special observance of Good Friday on April 22 at 7 p.m. at Faith Reformed Church, 95 Prospect Street in Midland Park. The congregations of Midland Park will share in a solemn service of music and meditation to mark the Passion of Jesus.
