The concert will be held at 2 p.m. at De Sales Hall Auditorium. Sponsored by Don Bosco Prep Chapel Concerts, this performance is part of a series that benefits performing arts programs and student scholarships at Don Bosco. “We are so excited to bring such world-class talent to northern New Jersey,” said Toni Bilotti Cecere, Don Bosco Prep’s choral director. “It will surely be a wonderful show that the entire family can enjoy.” Described by the New Yorker magazine as America’s favorite choral ensemble, and applauded by the Los Angeles Times for its luxurious perfection, Chanticleer performs over 100 concerts across the U.S., including appearances at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, the Cathedrals of Saint Louis and Phila- delphia, and New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. This San Francisco-based group performs a varied and extensive range of vocal literature, spanning from Renaissance to jazz to gospel to bold, new music. Don Bosco Prep’s Chapel Concerts will also feature a Young Artists’ Scholarship Competition for high school students who excel in the arts. Finalists will perform for a Chapel Concert on April 9, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship for music studies.
