The day’s events will begin with a 9 a.m. 9/11 Memorial Observance at the Ramsey High School auditorium. At 11 a.m., the community is invited to the Ramsey Day Parade on Main Street, which will feature music by the Ramsey High School’s celebrated Big Blue Band. Throughout the day, everyone in attendance will be invited to enjoy food, activities, prizes, arts and crafts, and more. Clowns will entertain the public, and there will be pony rides and children’s rides. Free trolley rides will be offered. Learn more about Ramsey’s community at the various information booths, visit with friends and neighbors, and just have fun. As always, a varied array of entertainment will be offered at the borough’s three stages. Performances at the Prospect Street Stage will include Jaclyn Falk from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Russ Gurney’s Blues on Tap from 12:30 to 1:30, Harrison Young and Earth Minor from 1:45 to 2:45, Jeff Slome and Lew Levy from 3 to 3:45, Queen of Spades from 3:45 to 4:30, The Hip Ramsey Day is tribute to borough volunteers Replacements from 4:30 to 5:30, Ramsey Growlers from 5:30 to 6, Tim Gysin from 6:15 to 7, and the Ramsey Wind Symphony from 7:30 to 8:30. Featured acts at the Main Street Stage will be: Magic Revue, 12:30 to 1, Children’s Musical Revue, 1 to 2, Wally Johns Acoustic Duo from 2 to 3, Juggling and Magic Show from 3 to 4, and Street Walk Performers from 4 to 5. Be sure to visit the South Island Avenue Stage to check out the following performers: Syncopated Seniors from 1 to 1:45, Outragehiss Pets from 2 to 2:45, Children’s Musical Revue from 3 to 3:45, New Jersey Dance Center Performers from 4 to 5, DARE Idol Winner Maggie Sciabica and DARE Idol Performers from 5 to 6, and Tribe Body Dance Group from 6 to 6:30. This year’s activities will also include Rockin’ Yoga in the Park at 6:30 p.m. at the Ramsey High School’s front field. Bring your mat and join in! The day’s events will wrap up at the high school field with a Movie under the Stars featuring the animated feature film “Up.” The film will begin at 8:30 p.m. Rain date for Ramsey Day will be Sunday, Sept. 12.
