The trio must track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destructive powers: horcruxes, objects that contain bits of Voldemort’s soul. “Burlesque” (Nov. 24). Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to Los Angeles. At The Burlesque Lounge, a grand but ailing theater that is home to a musical revue, Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor/ headliner, gives her a job as a waitress. Intrigued by Burlesque’s wild costumes and daring choreography, Ali vows to perform there one day. She befriends a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), makes an enemy of a jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and attracts the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet). Assisted by her manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali does make it to the stage and her magnificent voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, but not before an entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with a tempting proposal.
