He was the owner and operator of Bergen Pike Enterprises, LLC of Franklin Lakes. He had been a corporate security manager for over a decade. He was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Franklin Lakes. He is survived by his parents Philip and Carole (nee Marra) Blechschmidt of Franklin Lakes, his siblings Christopher of Weehawken and Julia Delellis of Hawthorne, and his maternal grandmother Margaret Marra of Pompton Lakes. Nancy Ellen Davis of Hillsboro, Florida, formerly of Upper Saddle River, died Aug. 14. She was 48. She worked in sales, working for companies like MCI and Integrated Services Corp. She was an artist with a personalized crafts business. She is survived by her children Nicholas J. Englebert and Noelle P. Englebert, both of Manahawkin, her parents Richard R and Betty Ann Davis of Mahwah, her siblings Dr. Steven S. Davis of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Douglas T. Davis of Mahwah, R. Harold Dow of Upper Saddle River, formerly of Los Angeles, California, died Aug. 21. He was 62. He was a ﬁve-time Emmy Award-winning journalist who recently celebrated 40 years with CBS Network News. He began his television career in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was the ﬁrst African-American news reporter to appear on air. He worked in the West Coast bureau of CBS. He reported for the CBS news magazine “Street Stories,” “CBS Eve- Jeffrey P. Blechschmidt Nancy Ellen Davis ning News” with Dan Rather, “Sunday Morning” and the legal series “Verdict.” He received a George Foster Peabody Award for a report on runaways, a Robert F. Kennedy Award for a story on public housing, an RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award, an Operation Push Excellence in Journalism Award and was recently recognized by the National Association of Black Journalists for his report on Medgar Evers. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Hackensack. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his children Joelle Dow Ballariel of Katy, Texas, Danica of New York City, and David of Upper Saddle River, his mother Williene Dow of Hackensack, his siblings Judge James Dow of Hackensack, Delores Barnes of Hackensack, Gail Gandy of North Carolina, and Karen Williamson of Mahwah. She was a teacher in the Lodi and the Ramsey public schools. For the past 22 years, she taught special education in the Eric S. Smith Middle School in Ramsey. She is survived by her husband Walter R. Kaulfers, her daughters Gwen Pra of Oakland and Christine Vonderhaar of Cincinnati, Ohio, two grandsons, and her sisters Jane Wright, Carol Komenda-Sprague, and Nora Komenda. She is survived by her sons Bruce Miller of Alta Loma, California and Jeff Miller of Desoto, Texas, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin Miller. He was 65. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, his children Amy Scheps and Christopher Mizenko, his stepsons Greg Brown and Jeff Brown, and four grandchildren. Anthony J. Porcelli of Waldwick, formerly of Hawthorne, died Aug. 22. He was 84. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He had worked as a shift manager for Modern Decoration before taking a position as store manager of the Garden State Farms store in Ramsey. He was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s R.C. Church in Hawthorne. He is survived by his children Vito Porcelli of Ridgewood and Joanne Irvolino of Midland Park, and one grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Jean (nee Savino), his parents Pasquale Porcelli and Rose (nee Salerno), and his siblings Lena and Vincent Porcelli. Razus of Ramsey died Aug. 22. He was 89. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII. He had worked several years as an aircraft mechanic, and later became an inside salesman. He was a former coach of the Ramsey Little League. He was a member of the 39th Fighter Squadron Association, Army Air Force Historical Association, Ramsey VFW Post 682, and The Ramsey Leisure Club. Cooper Co. of Hackensack. He was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club and The Hobbyists of Wyckoff. He is survived by his son Michael Woods of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren, his sister Betty Knapp of Jupiter, Florida, and his companion Janice Read of Wyckoff.
