Trophies will be awarded for the best costumes in various categories. In the event of rain, all festivities will be held in the Ramsey High School auditorium. The admission price is $65; tickets purchased before Dec. 1 will include an additional $25 in gaming chips. Bereavement groups forming Hearts & Crafts Counseling of Ramsey invites families and individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one to attend a bereavement support group; a corresponding children’s group will also be offered. Woman’s Club sets events The Woman’s Club of Ramsey will host an evening of Military Bridge on Oct. 30 at the Masonic Lodge on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and Lake Street in Ramsey. Girl Scout organizes bone marrow drive Anna Klein, an eighth grader from Ramsey, is organizing a bone marrow drive that will be held Nov. 13 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Saint Paul’s School, 187 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey. Klein’s effort, which is an essential part of her work toward achieving the Girl Scout Silver Award, is highly personal, as the drive is being held in honor of her cousin, Patrick. With the support of her Girl Scout Troop, Klein was able to register 117 people to commit to attending the drive on Nov. 13. Old-Fashioned Holiday Fair planned The crafters at Saint John’s Memorial Episcopal Church, located on the corner of Main Street and Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, have been busy creating homemade crafts for the church’s annual Holiday Fair. Parent workshops offered Asperger’s Related Services is offering two new workshops for fall for parents with children Asperger’s/HFA/ PDD, NOS spectrum. Both workshops will be held at the West Bergen Center for Children and Youth at One Cherry Lane in Ramsey. The cost is $25 per workshop. The Oct. 26 program, which will be presented by Jeanne Marron, Ph.D. and Jennifer Kunert, LPC, will offer information about preparing children for holiday events, vacations, and celebrations.
