Greater Ramsey UNICO Chapter to host Chrity di Vino next month
The Greater Ramsey Chapter of UNICO National will host its annual Charity di Vino Wine Tasting on Thursday, Nov. 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Sheraton Crossroads in Mahwah. This year’s wine tasting will feature over 65 wines, Belgian beers, domestic and imported cheeses, pasta and bruschetta stations, Italian pastries, and cakes from Hoboken’s own “The Cake Boss.” Guests will include “Cooking with Nonna” online celebrity chef sensation Rossella Rago, and CBS News food expert Tony Tantillo, who will be offering samples of Tantillo’s imported olive oils. Auction prizes will include a vintage Yankee Stadium seat. The evening will also include prize baskets, cash prizes, and live entertainment. All proceeds from this event will benefit Hearts & Crafts Counseling: Grief Counseling for Children and Adults and the Greater Ramsey UNICO Chapter to support its charitable works. Hearts & Crafts, located in downtown Ramsey, is a home away from home for children and adults coping with the death of a loved one. Art therapy, one-on-one counseling, and group therapy are used to guide clients through the healing process. Proceeds from the Charity di Vino Wine Tasting will support special events such as the Holiday Memorial Program, Hearts & Crafts Family Gathering, Adult Bereavement Retreat, and Camp Grief Busters, an annual retreat for bereaved children and their parents described by attendees as “a life-changing event.” To learn more about Hearts & Crafts Counseling services visit, www.heartsandcraftscounseling.org, or call Lisa Fairman (201) 818-9399. Tickets are $60 per person in advance, and $75 per person at the door. Attendees who purchase five tickets will get the sixth free. Tickets may be purchased online at www. grunico.org. ward-winning decorator Susan Tenny Keefe, C.I.D., is the owner of Decorating Den Interiors serving Ramsey and Mahwah. Susan provides a complete in-home interior decorating service; bringing samples of drapery fabrics, shades & blinds, furniture & upholstery, carpeting, area rugs, wall coverings, bedding, lighting & accessories directly to her clients’ homes. “Working this way is a great convenience for my clients, 10-13-10 mike/janine and it’s also crucial to view swatches in their lighting and next to their existing furnishings. My clients really enjoy the benefits KevinsThymePumpkin3x3(10-13-10) of working with an experienced decorator, rather than running 3 x 3” from store to store selecting things piecemeal with the aid of Susan Tenny-Keefe, only a salesperson. Rev3 “We don’t charge design fees or hourly rates, and I pride C.I.D. myself on my ability to work within my clients’ budget. By taking careful measurements and making floor plans we avoid expensive mistakes. The room is designed for function, comfort, beauty, and flow. We handle all details of ordering and scheduling, and supervise installations and deliveries. “Unlike a store, we have no inventory or loyalty to a particular manufacturer. We put our clients’ needs first as we choose from hundreds of vendors.” Susan is happy to help with any size project. It could be just one window, a room “freshen-up,” or an entire room/house makeover. Contact her to arrange a complimentary consultation.
