Auxiliary hosts Holiday Boutique The Mahwah Branch of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary will host its Holiday Boutique on Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a member’s home. Mahwah High to perform ‘Nicholas Nickleby’ Mahwah High School will present “Nicholas Nickleby” on Oct. 14, 15, and 16 at 7 p.m. and a matinee on Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at the high school located on Ridge Road. In the style of Dickens’ “Oliver Twist” and “A Christmas Carol,” “Nicholas Nickleby” follows the adventures of a young gentleman as he tries to make his way in 19th century London. The audience can count on farce, memorable characters, and a peek into Victorian England. Tea Party plans meeting The Mahwah Tea Party will meet on Monday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Ramapo Reformed Church, 100 Island Road in Mahwah. The group will discuss the future of the country, the high rate of unemployment, illegal immigration, rising taxes, and debt load. All are invited. Board of health to meet The Mahwah Board of Health will meet Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the municipal building at 475 Corporate Drive. Chamber offers networking luncheon The River Palm Terrace, 209 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, will host the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Oct. 19 luncheon and networking event. The group will meet from noon to 2 p.m. Members are invited to bring promotional material and literature for the event’s information table. The cost is $35 for Chamber members and $50 for nonmembers. This month’s selection is “The Problem of Pain” by C.S. Lewis. The author questions the pain and suffering that occur every day and how they contrast with the concept of a God who is omnipotent and good. A question and answer session with Father William P. Flu vaccine available The Mahwah Board of Health will hold its Flu Vaccination Program on Friday, Oct. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the municipal building, 475 Corporate Drive. Individuals must be 18 years and older to receive the vaccine. Those who have Medicare Part B will need to present their Medicare card at the time of vaccination. Those who are 65 or older and do not have Medicare Part B should receive the influenza vaccine from their regular health care provider. Medicare HMOs will not be accepted.
