Page 14 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • November 17, 2010 �������������������������� Dear Readers: As the year winds down and we start to prepare for the holidays, I am a little sad to be writing what will be my final president’s letter to you. This December ends my two-year term as president of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. In January, Jay Vidockler will take my place. He is the owner of Chocolates, Etc. on Main Street. If you don’t already know Jay, he is a great, very energetic person who will bring a lot to the Chamber and the town as a whole as our next president. He really makes some great chocolate, too! Take a moment to stop by his shop and say hello, congratulations, and try some of his sweets for yourself, or as a great gift for someone else. We have seen many changes in Wyckoff over the two years that I have been president, including the renovation of Boulder Run, the new TD Bank building on Godwin Avenue, and the announcement of the pending construction of a new ShopRite at the old A&P site behind Boulder Run. Big things are happening in our little town, and they can mean great things for everyone who lives and works here. More businesses in the downtown district mean more money for our town from those companies, and less that the town has to take from the residents to pay for services. It also gives us all the opportunity to truly shop in town exclusively, or at least most of the time. You can find almost any goods or services right here in Wyckoff, without the bother of highway traffic or mall parking lots. This holiday season, please make sure to shop Wyckoff first. Our local merchants are eager to give you outstanding service at a fair price. Please consider shopping locally before going to the Internet or the mall and highway stores. You will find a friendly atmosphere and local people you know and can trust. There are over 140 Chamber members committed to serving this community.
