Emmanuel asks...
Can You Help?
Our hat’s off to: The first graders at St Elizabeth’s school for their recent fundraiser and food collection. Way to go St. E’s! This family needs help: Eight year-old daughter Alison was diagnosed with cancer this past spring. Alison’s sisters Kristin, aged 6 and Caitlyn, aged 4 have noticed all of the changes. The family doesn’t do anything special (like go out to the movies or go do things ) or buy anything other than food. Their parents are irritable and overwhelmed and the atmosphere has been tense. More than once they have heard their mother crying in the bathroom. This is a newly referred family. The caseworker has visited them several times to assess the situation and provide counseling and practical advice and things seem calmer and happier. Our 4-29-09 karen/janine of food and dropped off some volunteers) brought bags gift certificates for a visit to the ice EmmanuelHelp2x.75(4-29-09) cream shop! A small emergency 3 x .75 grant paid the unpaid rent and fuel bill. We are able to make a difference with families like Alison’s with your contribution to the Family Financial Assistance Program. With your contribution of food and financial giving we can meet the many unmet needs of these people who might even be neighbors of yours. We have not been able to meet every need of the many families at this time and would like to expand our ability to do so. Please consider helping. Another big need: Anyone who has a lead on a good, free copier machine so we can replace our aging one. Save our van: A few years back, we were able to acquire a van due to the generosity of a local church. Since then we have made countless deliveries of groceries and other items to families. Now we need your help to keep the van in operation (maintenance, licensing, gas and oil). If you want to help by contributing or by organizing a fundraiser,

The Ramsey Knights of Columbus hosted the Saint Paul Church altar servers with a dinner and an evening of games and fun. Grand Knight Stephen Adams said the goal was to show appreciation to these young volunteers who offer their time and talent assisting at the weekend Masses. The families of the altar servers also were in attendance, as well as Monsignor Lawrence Cull, pastor of Saint Paul’s; and Altar Servers Coordinator Addie Caputi. Pictured: Altar servers with Msgr. Cull, Coordinator Caputi, Grand Knight Stephen Adams and Deputy Grand Knight Michael Adams.
